Denomination: Carum carvi, caraway, caraway, meadow cumin.
Caraway is a biennial or annual herbaceous plant, native to Mediterranean countries, where it occurs in meadows and mountain pastures, although today it is cultivated throughout the world.
Known for its digestive properties, caraway is used both to stimulate appetite, both in children and adults, as an effective natural remedy to relieve gas, colic and cramps.
To end the gases and flatulence, add a teaspoon of caraway seeds in a cup of water, bring to a boil for a couple of minutes, let stand and strain.
